King Diamond geben das Live-Album "Songs for the dead" frei. Dieser sensationelle Live-Mitschnitt enthält zwei komplette Konzerte, die am 17. Juni 2016 auf dem Graspop Metal Meeting in Dessel, Belgien, sowie am 25. November 2015 im The Fillmore in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, aufgezeichnet wurden. Die Shows fanden im Rahmen der "Abigail In Concert 2015"-Tour statt, mit der die Band ihr legendäres Abigail"-Werk aus dem Jahr 1987 in voller Länge performten. Das Philadelphia-Konzert wurde von Denise Korycki mitgeschnitten, die zuvor bereits mit Cannibal Corpse und Killswitch Engage zusammengearbeitet hat.
