For three decades, 1349 has embodied the original spirit of black metal. Since emerging from Oslo's underground scene in the late '90s, these cold and hellish Norwegians have performed at major European festivals such as Wacken Open Air and Hellfest, and have toured internationally with renowned bands like Celtic Frost, Cannibal Corpse, and Carcass. Now, fresh from the ashes of their eighth album, The Wolf & The King, the band are releasing a new live recording entitled Winter Mass. 

Recorded shortly after the pandemic lockdown was lifted, Winter Mass explodes out of the gates with 1349’s aural hellfire. During their set at Parkteatret in front of their home crowd, the band summon a range of apocalyptic spells spanning their career from their massive cauldron of chaos. Early classics such as 'Sculptor of Flesh' thrash with unchained madness, while recent favourite 'Striding the Chasm' whips by at a blistering pace.
