"Americana"; was released in 1998 and is the fifth studio album of the American rock band The Offspring. Americana was a huge success after its release, debuting as number six in the US Billboard 200 charts and selling over 175,000 copies in the first week of sales. With over 10 million units sold, "Americana"; is the band's most commercially successful album after "Smash";. In Germany the album reached 5th place in the charts and was awarded gold. That the album is one of The Offspring's greatest successes is certainly due to the punk rock evergreens like "Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)";, "Why Don't You Get A Job?"; and "The Kids Aren't Alright"; that are on Americana.
