Description
Splatter LP in gatefold cover. Limited to 400 copies.
LANTLOS captures the “inscrutable lightness of being” more perfectly than almost any other band that began under the influence of black metal—which now feels like a million years ago. On the sixth studio album “Nowhere in Between Forever,” creative mastermind and sole band member Markus Skye (formerly known as Markus Siegenhort alias Herbst) takes the musical direction of its predecessor ‘Wildhund’ at least one step further. “Nowhere in Between Forever” offers a spiritual journey into the glittering world of the nineties, when anything seemed possible. The album offers a collection of hits that are firmly rooted in the current LANTLOS sound and are also complemented by elements from the digital soundscape of the last decade of the past millennium. On the other hand, the album is by no means pure nostalgia. As Skye notes, he deliberately incorporated a hollow feeling of plasticity and artificiality into the songs on “Nowhere in Between Forever” – as subtle harbingers of dark times on the horizon. These musical twists connect the lighthearted, seemingly sunny and even poppy alternative rock and metal tracks with LANTLOS' dark past. With “Nowhere in Between Forever,” LANTLOS confirms both the stylistic evolution of their last two albums and their remarkable ability to create captivating songs and beautiful melodies with almost frightening ease.
