At first, ASP fans reacted to this milestone in the band's history, as so often, rather skeptically, because stylistically "fremd" screwed both the rock and the demand factor further up. No wonder that a part of the scene followers initially somewhat ... stranger with this work, which dealt much more with being an outcast, the lostness of man and dared to reproduce this "Eisige Wirklichkeit" also in sound and lyricism. Today, hits like the anthemic "Wechselbalg", the epic-melancholic "Unverwandt", the live ritual "Rücken an Rücken" or the previously mentioned metal-synth melange "Eisige Wirklichkeit" are considered classics. In addition, the 17-minute "Angstkathedrale" represents an absolute masterpiece of ASP's concept song, which together with the other songs already proved at that time that ASP did not intend to submit to any musical genre boundaries and would blow up all scene drawers in an explosion that could be heard far and wide.
