PAYSAGE D'HIVER is also the name of an Otherworld, which is crossed by the protagonist "The Wanderer". In the chapter of "Geister", the wanderer has a lucid dream in which he encounters beings from another dimension. This other world is ours and we earthly people are the "spirits" for him. The only way to get in touch with the wanderer and the world of PAYSAGE D'HIVER is through the rites of winter like the traditional mask cult of Tschäggättä from the Lötschental in the Swiss canton of Wallis. Such an inherited mask is depicted on the album cover of "Geister" and the lyrics are written in the local dialect.
