Description
One of the most important groups of the gothic rock movement is Fields Of The Nephilim, founded in 1983. Named after the biblical giant Nephilim, the band, led by singer Carl McCoy, performed in a post-apocalyptic Spaghetti Western outfit, reminiscent of the Sisters Of Mercy. Their music is significantly more influenced by hard rock, metal, and psychedelic rock, and even influenced many death metal bands. Their lyrics are dominated by magical and occult themes, making Fields Of The Nephilim cult figures in the dark wave and gothic scenes. The "5 Albums Box Set" contains the first four albums by the English band: "Dawnrazor" (1987), "The Nephilim" (1988), "Elysium" (1990), the live album "Earth Inferno" (1991) and the compilation "Singles & Mixes" specially released for this set, some of which are available on CD for the first time.
