It's hard to put KATLA into a genre category, so we won't even try.

"Allt þetta helvítis myrkur" ("All this damn darkness") is the title of the second album, by the Icelandic duo consisting of Einar Thorberg Gu∂mundsson (FORTÍÐ, POTENTIAM) and the former SOLSTAFIR drummer Gu∂mundur Óli Pálmason.

The first track "Villuljós" clearly shows how fitting the album title is. Somewhere set in post metal, mixed with a dark atmosphere and that special feeling you just can't describe, but you are captivated by the music and you are right in the middle of it from the beginning.

The band name KATLA comes from the Icelandic volcano of the same name ... 2020 is the year in which KATLA erupts again !!
