The Portuguese music scene has produced many fine moments over the years. Porto, the undefeated city, has never surrendered to foreign powers. Porto is also the home of ANZV, Edged Circle Productions' excellent new signing. They create their own version of Black Metal, otherworldly and different, yet traditional. They don't stray too far from the essence of Porto's legacy. They refuse to give in to the spiritual void, making an invasion of the modern world and spirit. Portugal has a very dark musical side, and combining this with the Sumerian underworld results in particularly eerie, hostile and mysterious soundscapes.
