Apocalyptica

These Fins redefined the term "Metal meets Classic". Instead of adding classic arrangements to the "regular" metal instrumentation, they played their songs on cellos. In the beginning, APOCALYPTICA made a huge surprise by not only playing mellow songs but also the very fast stuff by bands like METALLICA, PANTERA, and SEPULTURA. With the release of their third album "Cult", they focussed on writing their own material which paved the way for an outstanding career.
