Description
Remixed and remastered version of the classic Ayreon album, originally released in 2004, with bonus tracks from the Ayreon archives. The Human Equation was the sixth album by Dutch musician Arjen Anthony Lucassen's progressive rock project Ayreon.
As on other Ayreon albums, it features guest appearances by musicians previously unconnected with the project, including James LaBrie of Dream Theater, Mikael Åkerfeldt of Opeth, Eric Clayton of Saviour Machine and Devin Townsend, who play music arranged and written by Lucassen.
The album deals with the idea of psychological rebirth and tells the story of a man who falls into a coma after a car accident and is confronted with his past, his feelings and his current situation while trapped in his own mind.
