Arising from the German underground is a fierce and pitch-black thrash/death metal beast with just one task: DIABOLISCHES WERK (engl. diabolical work). Formed as a three-piece during the pandemic in 2020, the Northern German released their debut “Beast” in 2021 and converted a fourth member shorty after to become an even better functioning blasphemous destruction machine. You can definitely smell some experience in the compositions of the quartet, namely Pissmark, Smellhammer, Knochenmark, and Krüger, which is no coincidence, because some of them are veterans of the German extreme scene (ENDSTULLE, DYANGELIUM, TAUTHR, KOMMANDO…).

With the combined power of the four, they created “AGAINST ALL GODS”, their Apostasy Records debut. In the quarter of an hour, DIABOLISCHES WERK unleashes hell on earth. ‘Non Prophet’ is a thrash metal enormity that takes no prisoners, balancing fast-paced rhythmic patterns and an irresistible groove. Doomy parts are spread all over ‘Apostasy’ while ‘Against All Gods’ is blackened thrash crusher. They slow down in ‘Satanic Stomp’ to create a real bulldozer of a track.

DIABOLISCHES WERK deliver what their name promises. “AGAINST ALL GODS” is a devilish and deeply diabolic thrash/death metal manifest.
