Biographyte is the fifth full-length album by the Germany-based technical death metal band CYTOTOXIN. On this record, CYTOTOXIN explore their roots, taking listeners on a journey through the irradiated wasteland of Pripyat.

Each song on Biographyte is dedicated to a memorable location, thus narrating the biographical story of the tragic 1986 catastrophe and its aftermath. The cover artwork symbolically depicts humanity as being doomed to carry the consequences of the reactor disaster with it for eternity. The title track reflects the plight of the firefighters who picked up graphite bricks on the night of the explosion. This caused irreversible damage to their skin and bodies, often resulting in death.
