With 'Different Breed', their ninth album, French metal band DAGOBA wanted to offer music that could bring together old fans and newcomers alike.

Meticulously theorised night after night during their 2022 European tour, 'Different Breed' honours every distinctive feature that makes the band what it is: massive riffs, orchestration, indus passages and heady choruses, while bringing them up to date with the know-how they've acquired over the years.

Mixed and mastered by Chris Coulter (Arcane Roots, Idles) in London, 'Different Breed' offers listeners an uncompromising plunge into a world that's harsh and dark, but also melancholy and full of hope.

The artwork, by painter Mathieu Questel, depicts a brutal creature with human features.

As its name suggests, 'Different Breed' is a breath of fresh air in DAGOBA's discography, but will also prove to be their most unifying album.
