THE NIGHT ETERNAL's second album, titled 'Fatale', immediately radiates an intoxicating aura: harder, heavier and definitely DARKER, and yet also somehow softer and more mysterious. Dynamics play a key role here: while the Germans still rock hard, a fine sense of nuance colors these nine anthems, which have an almost purple velvet atmosphere. Fittingly, their already superior melodicism bristles with anthemic energy, even when they decide to take more somber steps into the afterlife. The result is irrevocably an amazingly unique and distinct sound and style.
