With their fourth album “Confessing Darkness”, IMHA TARIKAT once again push the boundaries of black metal without losing their close connection to the harsh style. From the very beginning, the genre has been much less narrowly defined than jealous gatekeepers and juvenile moral guardians have often assumed. From the very beginning, the German black metal innovators have utilized many of the possibilities that the genre has to offer and yet have audibly opened up their own sound spaces.
