And after 35 years, 14 studio and 5 live albums, singles and EPs, and after regular concert tours around the globe - only a handful of German-speaking bands perform abroad with such consistency - "Lament" is the 15th studio album and the finale of their trilogy that began in 2017!

What began with 'Testimonium', inspired by the deaths of many artists who had significantly influenced Tilo's career - artists such as David Bowie, Leonard Cohen and Prince - as well as the death of his own parents, became a cycle about love, death, longing and loss, and about hope for the light, the rising sun in the heart of every human being!

The lavishly produced 'Lament' contains the orchestral, almost 10-minute title track and the third part of the integral 'Storm Trilogy', as well as many other special features to be discovered. The album concludes with 'Memoria', which musically ends exactly where 'Testimonium' began.

The continuity is also evident in the artwork of the new album, on whose front cover another tomb statue bids farewell to the night and welcomes the morning, while the back cover shows the tomb statues of the previous albums and their arrangement in the park, which LACRIMOSA had impressively sung about in "The Answer is Silence" on "Passion", the middle part of the trilogy.
