Celebrating the tenth anniversary of WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM's groundbreaking performance at the legendary Roadburn Festival, the album comes with new artwork by Chimaire Noire (WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM, PROFOUND LORE) with poster. WOLVES IN THE THRONES ROOM reinterpreted black metal as an ode to rain showers, wood smoke and the wild energy of the Pacific Northwest. Today they are considered one of the most recognised and powerful bands in heavy metal. Here and now, a portal opens again into their celestial-pagan mythic landscapes. Their performances are about channelling emotions and putting the audience in a state close to meditation: Aaron Weaver has previously said that he wants people to "get down on the floor and cry" when WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM play. Each song contains multiple parts, from the sky-high climax of "Vastness And Sorrow" to the hypnotic introduction of "Cleansing", making the album feel like an epic journey through barren worlds and beautiful landscapes. In fact, the band cites NEUROSIS as one of the inspirations for how the music operates in a "deep and intensely mythical" way. The WOLVES' music is a very personal experience; no raised fists, no mosh pits, just your mind and the places the music conjures up. The performance was recorded live at the Roadburn Festival 2008 in Tilburg. Mixed and mastered at Torture Garden Studios.
