FEN named themselves after the Fens of East Anglia when the trio formed in 2006. These bleak and gloomy landscapes have left deep traces in the post-black metal sound that the band introduced to the UK when the English scene revived in the wake of trailblazers FOREFATHER with bands like FEN, WINTERFYLLETH and WODENSTHRONE.

"Monuments to Absence" is the follow-up to the justly acclaimed album "The Dead Light" and will be released in July 2023 via Prophecy Productions.
