On their follow-up to their successful debut "Cosmovore" the guys from the Bay Area serve the listener immediately a wild mixture of grindcore, death metal and black metal that really pops.

Fans of H. P. Lovecraft will of course have noticed that the band name is taken from the short story "The Cats of Ulthar" and therefore it's not surprising that the lyrical concept of the band is based on the prose of Lovecraft. Also the atmospheric artwork immediately makes you think of the writer's monstrous creatures. Similarly confused and insane as Lovecraft's lyrics is the music of ULTHAR.
