The Arsonist - Yellow Red Marbled 2-LP

As we all know, good music is also a question of sound. And for this - in addition to the right equipment, of course - the human factor is crucial, because it's all about authenticity and individual personality. German thrash metallers Sodom have therefore made a logical decision: To ensure the most natural production possible, the drums for their new album ‘The Arsonist’ were recorded completely analog with a 24-track tape machine. No studio tricks, no digital enhancements, or to put it in the words of frontman Tom Angelripper: "No plastic! The difference in sound to today's standard drum productions is enormous and has had a positive effect on all instruments. Of course, the effort and costs were also higher, but we are happy to pay for better quality."

However, it is not only the elaborate production process that testifies to the band's extremely creative vitality, but also the varied songwriting, in which all four Sodom musicians Tom Angelripper (vocals, bass), Frank Blackfire (guitar), York Segatz (guitar) and Toni Merkel (drums) were involved on ‘The Arsonist’.
