Description
The limited 4-LP edition comes as a luxurious hardcover box. In addition to the original album and remastered album Always, the two bonus LPs include the previously unreleased Celtic Frost cover Dethroned Emperor, 3 tracks from the 1991 Beaufort Studios sessions of In Sickness And Health, Always... and Gaya's Dream, as well as the 2 songs The Mirror Waters and King For A Day from the “TG25: Live At Doornroosje” live album from 2015 with the original singer Bart Smits.
On their debut album Always (1992), The Gathering still played death doom metal with Bart Smits as the singer.
The distinctive female voice, which would later become the trademark of The Gathering, is only present through Marike Groot as a guest singer.
