Symphonic extreme heavy metal band from Stockholm - founded and led by multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Zorn. After parting ways with Dark Funeral, he was determined to shake up the traditional "metal-meets-symphony" approach with his new band Zornheym. Zornheym quickly evolved from an ambitious idea into a dramatic musical and narrative concept revolving around the horrors of a mental institution and its inmates. Four years after the gates of the asylum were conceived, they were finally opened with the release of the debut album. Where Hate Dwells and Darkness Reigns. "This album introduced the terrifying concept of the asylum and the cruel characters it houses. The sound of Zornheym has been described as powerful and cinematic and the second album invites you to continue that experience in The Zornheim Sleep Experiment, which is set deep inside the asylum. With a real choir and a string quartet, they once again create their wall of sound and bring the story to life in a graphic novel that accompanies and expands on the album's stories.
Zornheym debuted at France's Motocultor festival and have shared their energetic, bombastic experience at many other festivals and venues across Europe.
