After the renewed official appreciation by the 'Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik' for their current album Genesis XIX (for the second time after the award of the predecessor Decision Day, 2016) and before the approaching 40th anniversary of the band in the coming year: Seldom before Sodom were as vital as in the spring of 2021. Despite canceled concerts, despite Corona lockdown, despite various imponderables that this strange time brings with it. In a phase where other bands remain in agony, Tom Angelripper and his band members Frank Blackfire (guitar), Yorck Segatz (guitar) and Toni Merkel (drums) release their brand new EP Bombenhagel on August 20, 2021 via Steamhammer/SPV as CD, 12"-vinyl and as digital download. "Actually, the disc was supposed to be released for the upcoming summer festivals, with a sticker and the confirmed tour dates. But the way it looks at the moment, all gigs will probably be postponed to 2022. But the EP is coming anyway! As a pure sign of life. As a signal to our fans: We still exist! And it goes on!", explains Tom and has three absolute hits in the luggage.
