From the realms of the Far North, an army of six warriors rushes into battle! SKALMÖLD was founded in 2009 and has become on of the biggest metal acts from Iceland. They describe their musical direction as battle metal - a mixture of epic Viking metal, old school death and thrash metal spiced with influences ingrained in their Icelandic heritage. The lyrics are all written under the strict rules of ancient Icelandic poetry and influenced by the heathen roots of the Nordic nation.
