Confessions Of The Fallen CD

Staind's highly anticipated new album, Confessions of the Fallen - the band's first new studio album since 2011 - will be released on September 15, 2023 via Alchemy Recordings/BMG.
 
The 10 tracks on Confessions of the Fallen explore a variety of sonic niches. Debut single "Lowest In Me" (currently #2* on the active rock charts), "Cycle of Hurting," "Was Any of it Real?" and "Hate Me Too" press forward with unrelenting fury, electronics adding to the musicians' frenetic assault. Tracks like "Out of Time," "In This Condition" and "The Fray" feature fluid arrangements and sweeping dynamic changes, while "Here and Now" and the cautiously optimistic "Better Days" remind us that Staind is no stranger to prettiness - when appropriate, of course. Lyrically, Confessions of the Fallen again draws from the dark, reflective corners Lewis has always included in Staind's songs, yet these 10 songs are more personal than ever. "I'm still working through my issues," Aaron says. "And until then, I'm dreaming of better times. I hope that's how everyone feels right now.... Better days are still ahead."
