ARÐ hail from Northumbria. The band name, of the solo project founded by composer and musician Mark Deeks, derives from an Old English word that means "homeland" in the dialect of the Anglo-Saxon kingdom.

The WINTERFYLLETH musician gets support from WOLCENSMEN mastermind Dan Capp, who provides guitar and background vocals on "Take Up My Bones." ATAVIST drummer Callum Cox is also on board and cellist Jo Quail (MY DYING BRIDE et al.) provides the instrumental icing on the cake with a captivating performance.
