Description
Recording their eleventh album ‘The Bad Fire’ at Scotland's Chem19 Studios, the band were joined by Grammy award-winning producer John Congleton (St Vincent, Angel Olsen, John Grant). ‘The Bad Fire’ is a Scottish idiom for hell and was inspired by a series of stressful personal moments the band went through after their tenth album, the chart-topping ‘As The Love Continues’. (The album reached number one in the UK album charts on release and number three in Germany).
But the band has never been about making a career, rather music has always been a form of escape, of escaping the trap of time. And of arriving in the here and now. This is still true today in the 30th year of their existence. Time stands still for a moment. If you listen to the music with sufficient attention and volume.
