Therion
THERION really mastered to turn from a death metal band into a symphonic metal entity in a very unique way. The Swedish band was formed in 1987 (first under the monikers BLITZKRIEG and MEGATHERION) by Christofer Johnsson. He was highly inspired by CELTIC FROST which is kind of obvious when you take a close look at its band’s name that was inspired by their album “To Mega Therion”.
